What’s Happening at NHPC?

The 2019 National HIV Prevention Conference is quickly approaching. The full program is being finalized, so here are some topics to look forward to:

• A new proposed federal initiative, Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America, was announced earlier this month, which provides a bold path forward to eliminating HIV infections in the United States. This Initiative, led by the Department of Health and Human Services, would leverage critical scientific advances in HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care to reach elimination goals and, if funded, would infuse the hardest hit communities with the additional expertise, technology, and resources required to address the HIV epidemic in their communities. Learn more about the initiative and future plans to provide all at-risk communities with effective prevention and treatment tools at an extra session that is being added to the conference program on Wednesday, March 20 at 5:45pm.
• A key component of the track on detecting and interrupting HIV transmission, cluster detection and response sessions will address topics such as operationalizing outbreak response, engaging communities and partners, and addressing community concerns about using HIV data.
• Multiple sessions at NHPC will focus on PrEP, including PrEP clinics, PrEP and social marketing, PrEP and novel data use, PrEP telemedicine, PrEP access, PrEP awareness, and PrEP for a variety of populations.

Last Day for Discounted Registration Rate
Today is the last day to get the discounted registration rate. Register today for $325 before the rates increase to $425. The registration rate for federal employees is $250. Learn more and complete registration process on the NHPC's Registration page.

Deadline Extended for Online Registration
Online registration will remain open until Friday, March 1. Avoid the onsite registration payment lines by registering online this week. After March 1, all new registrations must be made onsite.
