Syringe Service Programs Webinar

This webinar will feature perspectives from national and local community-focused organizations that support syringe services programs (SSPs). This is the final webinar in a three-part series focused on SSPs, an important community-based prevention program that can save lives, combat the nation’s opioid crisis, reduce the transmission of HIV and Hepatitis C and support individuals in accessing substance (SUD)/opioid (OUD) use disorder treatment services. Presenters will:
- review national trends among SSPs;
- discuss strategies to gain support from key community partners; and
- share examples of effective SSP implementation practices.
Intended Participants: state/local public health, law enforcement, corrections, harm reduction organizations, state/local elected officials, SUD/OUD programs, faith-based organizations, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), healthcare providers, and other relevant organizations.

New SOAR Online Training Module
SOAR Online is a series of training modules launched in 2018 by the National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center and Postgraduate Institute, in collaboration with federal partners. A new SOAR for School-Based Professionals Module equips those serving middle and high school students to better understand how human trafficking-related issues impact youth. Recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month - Webinar Recording
October was National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. About 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men in the U.S. experience IPV in their lifetime.

Perspectives on PrEP Access in Rural and Urban Communities
By attending this webinar, participants will receive updates on the HHS Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America Initiative and information on PrEP access in rural and urban communities. This webinar will feature presentations by the AIDS Education Training Center (AETC) on provider resources and trainings and two community health clinics (urban and rural) will share challenges and best/ promising practices related to PrEP services.

Pregnant Women with Opioid Use Disorder Webinar
Join us on November 19 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am PDT for this second webinar in this series of educational sessions for health care providers focusing on sequential stages of caring for pregnant, postpartum, and parenting women with opioid and other substance use disorders from screening and engagement in care through the first year postpartum. Ensuring that women receive proper prenatal care and recovery treatment can significantly reduce maternal death, improve pregnancy outcomes, reduce risk of overdose, and increase the likelihood that women can parent their babies. This event will help focus attention toward reducing preventable maternal morbidity and mortality by increasing awareness and knowledge of resources, effective policy, programs, and practice.
