Health Scientist (Bioinformatics)

NIAID seeks exceptional applicants with bioinformatics experience for a health scientist position in the Office of Genomics and Advanced Technologies (OGAT), Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID). DMID supports extramural research to control and prevent diseases caused by virtually all human infectious agents except HIV. OGAT serves as a lead office for administering and coordinating genomics-, bioinformatics-, and emerging technologies-related programs, initiatives, and activities within DMID.
As a health scientist, you will serve as an authoritative senior project manager, consultant, and advisor to management, scientific, and program staff regarding bioinformatics, data science, and technology solutions. Candidates must have successfully completed a course of study leading to an advanced degree in a medical field, health sciences, or allied health sciences appropriate to this position and have one year of experience in project management including overseeing research, fiscal, and administrative responsibilities for a research/development project or for an organization.
