Make an Emergency Plan
Make an emergency plan for any disaster that can strike in your area that your family and loved ones can follow. Know the plan for how you'll contact each other, where you'll meet if you become separated, and practice your plan before you need it.

Sign-up for Emergency Alerts
To ensure you and your family stay alert, sign everyone up for emergency alerts. Learn what different types of warning alert systems are available to have on your devices. These text messages, apps, and radio alerts can help you have the best information as soon as it's available.

Financially Prepare Yourself
To combat unexpected expenses from a disaster, start saving money into an emergency fund. Save your change. Have your bank round up debit purchases to the dollar, and put that into a savings account. Obtain different forms of insurance to protect your home and family. Any type of saving helps combat surprise expenses.
