June 5 is HIV Long-Term Survivors Day
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), an estimated 1.1 million people in the United States were living with HIV at the end of 2016. A lot of these people have been living with HIV for many years. June 5 is a day set aside each year to honor HIV long-term survivors and to raise awareness of their needs, issues, and journeys.
